Ad Preview Problem Fix For Internet Explorer 7
Strangely, Internet Explorer 7 would not display my existing ad list from the ad group "Ads" tab. You know, when you select an ad group, adCenter shows you a screen with 3 tabs: "Settings", "Ads" and "Keywords". At this point the "Keywords" tab is selected but default.
To see a list of all you ads in the group, you must click on the "Ads" tab. It should then show you the "Create, import, or edit ads" screen which has a link called "Create an ad" and the list of your existing ads below.
My problem was I had only the "Create an ad" link and nothing below. Though I was sure I had created my ad. I went along and created the ad again, using the link. After clicking on the "Save" button, the same forms comes back, no error messages, still no ad listing. I openned the account with Firefox, and there were all my ads I created. Internet Explorer 7 would just not show them.
So I called adCenter support toll free line, the nice lady there knew right away what to do to fix the problem. It just took a minute, superb service.
In case you experience the same problem, let me save you a call and show you how she made me fix it:
- Got to www.microsoft.com
- Use the search input area (top right of page) with the following words: microsoft xml core services
- Go the almost bottom of the page where you will see a series of download buttons.
- Click on the button to the right of the line with msxml6.msi and
1.5 MB - Click "Run" in the small security warning window and follow instructions.
And that’s all, problem fixed! Isn’t good support great?
Thanks for buying me a beer
